Local bakery to close its doors

The co-owners of La Noisette Bakery made their closure announcement in a series of social media posts over the weekend.

"The decision does not come lightly," one of the posts read. "However we feel that this is the best decision for the continued growth of our business as well as managing a better lifestyle for ourselves."

The storefront at 900 Oxford Street East, in London, will close on October 7, 2023.

Another post assured customers that some of the bakery's menu will still be available through other local businesses that carry its products.

La Noisette Bakery was founded in 2013, after both co-owners completed their culinary diplomas, and officially opened its doors in June of 2014.

Handmade croissants, muffins, scones, pastries, cookies, breads, sandwiches, and signature 'Bagel Bombs' are featured on the bakery's menu.

In the summer of 2020, La Noisette Bakery expanded to include cakes, cupcakes, and custom wedding cakes.

Though the co-owners admitted to struggles in their nine years of operating, including "vandalism, construction, [and] a worldwide pandemic", their goodbye posts were ultimately a thank you and see you later to their loyal customers.
